The Truth and Parables (Mark 4:10-20) - Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

Today’s passage mentions the parable of the sower.
When Jesus gave this parable, He gave it to those who would be His witnesses,
that is, those who would take up His kingdom.
This is the message He gave them by this parable.

“Go out and preach!
When you preach the Gospel, your message will be completely rejected!
Those who reject you do not want God.
They are held by Satan!
Not only will they reject you, they will also persecute you!”

“And when you go to other places, you will meet others.
They will appear to have very good, vibrant, and ardent faith,
but you shouldn’t trust them too much!
They haven’t repented!
They aren’t born again.
They will reject and leave you!”

“And when you go to other places still, there will be believers.
They will believe on the outside, but their hearts are for the world.
They won’t share their hearts with you!
They’ll say that their hearts are with you, but the fact is that their hearts have fled.
Eventually, their hearts will be completely uncovered!
They did not love you.

Likewise, they will reject you, persecute you, blaspheme you, and hurt you!
They will leave you!
Be that as it may, do not give up!

There will be others here also!
They will truly believe!
They will confess their sins to God in humility.
They won’t betray me, even to the last moment.
They will not betray you too.
They will fulfill their calling to the very end.
These are the people God has prepared!

You can trust them because they will be great allies to you, even if they must throw down their lives.
They will wholeheartedly help you and be your best supporters.
Though the present situation is so difficult, do not give up!
Don’t be discouraged!”

This is the struggle of Him who prepares for the last days.
It is the struggle of Him who had to leave His kingdom on earth to prepare for the last days.
It is the urgent struggle to plan for success, and to make it happen.
There was one single Person who set up and took responsibility for this kingdom.
This Person was shunned.
But the Lord told His disciples,
“Do not be troubled. Do not be discouraged, even if people leave you.”

God closed the door on Israel.
“Since they reject me, I will close the door. They will be unable to understand and come back.”
Until when?
Until they all perish.
Until there are no inhabitants, no one survives, and they utterly perish.

“Maybe a tenth of them will remain. But even these will be swallowed up.
Will the stump remain, though the chestnut and oak trees are all cut down? It will remain.
All of it! But even if the tenth disappears, the stump, God’s word - which is the holy seed - will be the stump in the land.”

“Even though everyone disappears, I will do it! I will do it with the very things that remain!”

Dear saints, I pray that we will not live on parables, but live by the truth.
I pray in the Lord’s name that you will adjust your hearts to Jesus Christ, and will maintain and honorably carry out the work He did.
I pray earnestly that you will communicate with Jesus.
I pray in the Lord’s name that you will all become those whom God prepares.
I pray in the Lord’s name that you will hold fast to Christ, no matter what the situation or cause in the world.
