Jesus’ Teaching (Mark 4:1-9) - Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

Without God’s revelation, it is impossible to know God’s will.
Receiving God’s revelation does not mean receiving knowledge or information about God.
Though you received them, God’s revelation will not be fulfilled unless God personally does His work.
If we want to be led by God until we reach the kingdom, His revelation must be fulfilled in us.
To do this, we must first prepare the soil.
This means we must have a clean spirit, and have a strong will to carry out God’s will, which we understand.
Even if this knowledge is about the spiritual world, this is only information and not revelation.
The pharisees and teachers of the Law always studied God’s word, but since they were not inspired to accept this as revelation, they even ended up betraying the Messiah - who came to save them.
If we want to avoid falling into this situation, we must let go of the desire to fill up knowledge like storage when we listen to God’s word.
We should let God speak personally to our spirits.
The disciples asked Jesus to explain why He spoke to the people in parables but not interpret them.

“The mystery of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables so that, ‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’”

When Jesus used parables about the kingdom of God, He concealed the way to this kingdom from people who ignored or took advantage of Him.
The prophets prophesied much about Jesus’ second coming, the thousand-year kingdom and heaven, but many things were hidden concerning the kingdom of God, which would unfold on earth until Jesus comes again.
Though the King of this kingdom does not dwell on earth bodily, this kingdom exists, and though it cannot be seen with people’s eyes, this kingdom has a spiritual seat in the hearts of His people.
Though all countries of the world fall this kingdom will stand firm forever.
The mystery of this kingdom was hidden for ages past but made known to the world when Jesus came on this earth.
Yet people still cannot see this kingdom.
We can see this kingdom only if God personally helps us understand it.
But God’s revelation will not be fulfilled in those who stubbornly do not believe, despite receiving ample opportunity.
This is judgment for unbelief already being carried out.
When we became members of the church today, we became people of the kingdom, and we became mediators to make all nations of the world into people of the kingdom.
The prophets of Old Testament times could not know about this mystery, though they tried to know.
We became the protagonists of this mystery.
This means our responsibility is equally as great.
Let’s ensure that the word of God inside us becomes revelation, and not just knowledge.
Let’s consider God’s will with a clean spirit and put this will into practice.
Let’s become the protagonists of this mystery, who take up the works planned by God.
