Jesus Baptized in obedience to Righteousness (Matthew 3:13-17) - Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is love.
He
is pleased with the people who He loves,
and love and pleasure are concerned only
with God and His Son (Mt 3:17).
We know Cain’s sacrifice was not accepted,
since his efforts could not please God (Heb 11:6).
Our own efforts are associated with religion and homocentrism (Rom 8:6-8).
Yet
God accepted Abel’s sacrifice, for he understood
the revelation of God (who is before eternity) (Eph 3:9).
God is pleased only through His Son.
Our faith
is about obeying God’s revelation.
We must understand what He loves (Rom 12:2)
and what He is pleased with.
Everything besides this is religion and human conviction.
We
should accept God’s love,
but we must come into Jesus Christ to do so (Phi 2:10-11).
We
should become people who God is pleased with,
but it must be through Jesus Christ (Jn 10:9).
◎ Even if we live under Moses, the Law and the Prophets,
we cannot receive God’s love or please Him.
◎ We must dwell in Jesus
to accept God’s love and become people who please Him.
◎ We can come into Jesus Christ and please Him
by being baptized.
※ Understand God’s love and pleasure
like He personally revealed from heaven.
We are complete only when we unite with Jesus Christ.
